16-PORT T1/E1 MS CARD CLEI The 16 port T1/E1 Multi-Service Card provides circuit emulation service and performs the necessary operations to allow the transport of channels through an ATM network as follows. When configured for T1 operation: individual 64k (DS0) time slots, n x64kbps (DS0) groups of time slots, and/or DS1 circuits. When configured for E1 operation: individual 64k time slots (E0), n x 64kbps (E0) groups of time slots, and/or E1 circuits. This card supports both structured and unstructured service as defined by the ATM Forum. This card provides connectors for an optional CR/IMA module (90-8978-02). The optional module position cannot be used if the 16 port T1/E1 Multi-Service Card is installed in a Type-1 7470 peripheral shelf. The more common Type-2 shelf (90-4907-01) must be used if the optional CR/IMA module is required. This assembly contains a Telcordia CLEI (Common Language Equipment Identifier) label. Note that this card may only be used in 7470 MSP R9.1 and above systems.
